1/With regard to the Speaker battle that we currently have going on in Dem Congress there seem to be two schools of thought. One, that Pelosi is 78 yrs old, is a very unifying figure for the GOP & therefore the perfect foil for them right now. As well, that it’s time for the

2/Dems to move in another direction. The other, that Pelosi is an experienced, tough & highly successful strategist & SOH, & that she’s well versed enough in party politics & the workings of Congress, the likes of McConnell, Graham et al, to be able to see their nonsense coming &

3/therefore will enable the Dems to put up the necessary fight that is before them in order to STOP the corruption as much as they can & move our Country forward. I don’t think that these factions are that polar. I think that all of us want to see the Dems succeed going forward

4/& that we all realize that we have an enormous fight on our hands. We agree that party politics MUST change. What I question is whether or not all of us are fully cognizant that this is NOT politics as usual. Not by any means. The time for change is def upon us now, but there

5/must be an order to this, we cannot make all of the change happen at once. We must first unify, utilize all of our strengths to stop the garbage that the GOP are hurling at America. AND we must set an example, that of GOOD politics, that of concern for our fellow citizens,

6/& let the GOP come to understand as they will, that the party is over. I say that we let Nancy Pelosi return as Speaker of The House, that we ensure that the person next in line for the Presidency is experienced, tough & up to dealing with the GOP’s greasy, heavy handed,

7/good ole boy politics. She is well aware of her age, & as I understand it, fully intends to mentor those interested in following in her footsteps. We need to let her do this.

8/We need to perhaps first change the OLD Dem reputation of chaos & not following through by standing as one party. For now.
