It’s not like the God of the Bible specifically calls a 'wandering Aramean’ who lives and dies as an immigrant (Abraham).
I mean, if there were a book of the bible devoted to an immigrant (Ruth) who ends up being the great-great-great-great grandmother of King David, that would be something.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
As though the very Savior of the world describes himself as a homeless immigrant or something (Luke 9:58, the very Gospel reading in the Revised Common Lectionary for today)
Let us pledge allegiance to what really matters: the State under which we live (forget Paul’s stupid, needlessly controversial “we are citizens with the saints” crap, Ephesians 2:19).
There are plenty of biblical examples of this more godly way to live: Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Caesar.
