1/ Texas is going to court today to end the Affordable Care Act. It hasn't produced a plan to replace it.

Reminder: Texas has the highest uninsured rate in the nation.

That’s according to federal data gathered by an immigrant advocacy group.

1) News Roundup! Jesse Smollett, Wall, Obamacare, Rep. Doug Collins, Climate Change, Circuit Judge, Steel Tariffs etc...

The House voted earlier this afternoon to override our President's Veto on the National Emergency Declaration. They needed 285 Representatives to vote Yes.

One of the positive side effects of the excruciating, awful, relentless months in which the sole GOP legislative goal was to end the Affordable Care Act and eliminate protections for people with pre-existing conditions is that, today, people can tell that Republicans are lying.
Take, for example, this ad by Republican Rick Scott. One of his Senate campaign's closing arguments is that, he claims, he supports "forcing insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions"—& cares even more than the Democratic incumbent, Bill Nelson.
The problem that Nelson faces is that the Floridians who care most about health care were watching the ACA fight very, very closely. They were calling @SenBillNelson's office day after day. They know Nelson promised to protect their health care. They know he kept his promise.

Today Senate Republicans are “plowing right through” with two controversial circuit court nominees who have worked to restrict voting rights and strip health coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.
The White House announced it would nominate Chad Readler to the 6th Circuit on the same day Readler filed a brief arguing that the Affordable Care Act’s coverage of pre-existing conditions is unconstitutional.
Make no mistake: the Trump Administration wants to end the Affordable Care Act’s coverage for pre-existing conditions. The Readler nomination shows they really mean it.
