Miss M had just handed out the exam question papers to her pupils, in the private school where she teaches French.

"Miss M, how are the answers arrange?" asked one pupil. "Is it AA or BB or ABAB?"

It took Miss M a few seconds to understand the child's question.
Her shock led her probe further. Turns out the previous teacher always rehearsed the exam questions with the pupils and also told them in what order she'd arranged the answers.

The pupils didn't need to read or understand the questions. They just followed the given format.
Why would a teacher do this, you may ask.

Because many private schools in Nigeria fire teachers when their students fail. Even when there's proof that the student has learning difficulties, isn't old enough or ready for that class or needs extra attention.

Ready to tweet my notes of today's BCHR Tribunal hearing of JY vs. JT, another waxing lady. This hearing is not one of the three consolidated cases in which the defendant is represented by the @JCCFCanada - I have tweeted about two of those, the last will take place tomorrow.
Some issues dealt with before testimony starts - some of which has to do with the @JCCFCanada and @JurisCameron. Present is JY, JY's parent, Member - no defendant. Going to take this time to explain correct terms and start using them. Member is the "judge" and is the correct term
JY is the claimant, while the person(s) I have been calling the defendant is the respondent. Publication ban on JY's name or identifying details regarding JY. Because of this, I am using they pronouns for JY and their parent. Am using "XXX" to mask identifying details.

Prediction: a huge class action lawsuit by influencers banned or demonetized by social networks will lead to recognizing & protecting:
- accounts as personal property
- posts as free speech

The more livelihoods depend on social influence, the likelier this becomes.
To be featured in this class action lawsuit:

Shadow banning

There are several legal precedents for this:
1) malls are regulated as public spaces and must protect speech and assembly rights even though they're private minnpost.com/cityscape/2015…
2) utilities (gas, water, electric) aren't allowed to cut people off even if they miss bills.
