If this guy can't be trusted alone with a woman, how can he be trusted with a state?
In what universe is preventing a woman from doing her job *because she's a woman* consistent with "integrity & professionalism"?
I realize people see this kind of behavior as an outlier, but the thinking behind it - that it's women's responsibility not to 'tempt' men - is actually widespread & really dangerous.
There is a throughline from "rules" like this to abstinence only education that teaches boys that they can't control themselves, dress codes that tell female students they're "distracting" their male counterparts & rape culture that blames women. It's more than just one asshole.
