Extremist Sunni cleric @MuftiTaqiUsmani spoke at an anti-Ahmadi hate conference in Birmingham this weekend.

He engaged in vitriolic hate speech against the persecuted Ahmadiyya community. Not long ago, an Ahmadi Muslim was murdered in the UK because of such incitement/hate.

The event was hosted by the Birmingham Central Mosque. Ironically, in an age of rising Islamophobia, this Mosque chooses to spread hatred and bigotry against other Islamic communities. This is dangerous, authorities must take note of such religious extremism.

"They (Ahmadis) are not Muslims. They are infidels & we will continue to call them such till our last day... They only pretend to be persecuted to get sympathies of the world." - @muftitaqiusmani in Birmingham UK.

“The main aim of this conference is to educate our kids on the real meaning of Khatme Nabuwat… that Ahmadis are infidels & have nothing to do with Islam... They claim that Pakistan has unjust laws against them. Where is the injustice (in these laws)?” he rhetorically asked.

So a Pakistani extremist cleric comes to UK to endorse religious persecution & spread further hate & sectarianism against an already oppressed community, and the authorities don’t even notice?

Khatme Nabuwat conferences are a cover for spread of hate & incitement against peaceful Ahmadi Muslims. In Pakistan, violence by extremists & State-sponsored oppression is the norm. Extremist clerics from there must not be allowed to spread the same bigotry in the UK.

Mosques such as @BhamMosque that host extremist clerics, promote extremist sectarian narratives & play active role in radicalization of youth, should be called out & investigated by authorities.

As Muslims, we should be the first to ensureMosques don’t spread hate/extremism.

Sunni Mullahs in UK: Why so much hate against Muslims? Why so much Islamophobia? Govt should curb hate speech against Muslims.

Also Sunni Mullahs: Ahmadis are infidels. No one should interact with them. Hating them is part of our Aqeedah!
