Thread: My message to those tweeting #قادیانیت_اک_فریب (qadianiyat - pejorative for Ahmadiyya Islam - is a fraud), if you are so certain it’s fraud, lift the bans/censorship, urge your Mullahs for public dialogue with Ahmadi Muslims & let the fraud expose itself.

Why so scared?
Ahmadi Muslims are banned in Pakistan from printing their literature, unspoken censorship on mainstream media (when was the last time you heard from an Ahmadiyya representative when the community is attacked), websites blocked, preaching criminalized.

Why so much fear? 1/n
So I will take this opportunity to summarize the basic beliefs of Ahmadi Muslims & touch on some allegations levied against the community.

The anti-Ahmadi hate/propaganda against Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan has great similarities with talking points of Islamophobes in West. 2/n
Ahmadi Muslims believe in the Islamic Creed - Kalima.

Contrary to propaganda that Ahmadi Muslims have their own Kalima, Ahmadis hold true to the Kalima & in fact can be jailed for 3 years for saying the Kalima in Pakistan. 3 of my uncles jailed under these criminal laws. 3/n
Ahmadi Muslims hold true to the five pillars of Islam.

- Same Shahada!
- Same Salat
- Same Ramadan fasting
- Same Zakāt
- Same Hajj

(Although Pakistan bans Ahmadi Muslims from going for Hajj, Ahmadis outside Pakistan frequent Mecca for Hajj). 4/n #قادیانیت_اک_فریب
Ahmadi Muslims believe in the six articles of faith.

Ahmadi Muslims believe in Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as Khataman Nabiyeen, the seal of all the prophets, the last law bearer who brought the final law - the Quran.

Here is the Ahmadiyya narrative that you never get to hear (free booklet to download): alislam.org/library/books/…

I am sure the author @FarhanIqbal1 can take your questions if you have any.

Here is a video by the fourth caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community explaining the Ahmadiyya position:

Ahmadi Muslims believe in each and every verse of the Holy Quran. Without exception.

The myth that Ahmadis have their own Quran is just that - a myth. Here is the Ahmadiyya website with Qurans translated in over 70 languages. See for yourself.

Ahmadi Muslims believe that Prophet Isa (as) has died a natural death. Ahmadis make their case based on the Quran and sunnah. If there is one prophet whose death is so emphasized in the Quran, it is Isa (as). He was raised spiritually, not in his physical body. 9/n
Here are the arguments to support the Ahmadiyya viewpoint. alislam.org/library/articl… One has the right to disagree on theology, but persecution and hate should be discouraged.

10/n
Here is a celebrated Sunni scholar @JavedGhamidi making the same argument on the death of Jesus (as).

11/n

Again, this is an intellectual debate and must not lead to hate and persecution. We must listen to each other, then chose to agree/disagree.
Most Sunni Muslims believe that the last prophet to walk the earth would be one from the Ummah of Moses - Jesus (as). He would return in person.

Ahmadi Muslims hold that this Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (sa) is FINAL & so the Promised Messiah would be born from within. 12/n
Some Sunni clerics have tried to play around this dilemma by demoting Jesus’s status from a prophet to a follower (ummati) but the Quran would be declaring him a prophet and so would the Hadith. The prophet (sa) described the coming messiah as “nabiullah” at least 5 times. 13/n
Yes the prophet said there would be no prophet immediately after him but he also said of the coming messiah that he would be a prophet of God (“there is no prophet between me and him.”)

If orthodox Sunni interpretation of Khatme Nabuwat is true, then Jesus would break the seal. But if the Ahmadiyya interpretation is followed, then the coming messiah only strengthens the seal by continuing His (sa) mission and taking it to the corners of the world. 15/n
It all comes down to the identity of the coming messiah.

Ahmadi Muslims believe Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) was the promised messiah foretold to come & reform the Ummah in accordance with the prophecies of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He was to be a perfect secant of his Master. 15/n
Here is a good resource on the signs, claims and life of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as): alislam.org/library/messia… 17/n
I encourage Pakistanis to engage in dialogue instead of hatred and persecution. In the end, we can always agree to disagree on theological issues. Let’s allow everyone to follow their convictions & beliefs & leave judgment to God. 18/n
I will leave this article here. It’s an interview of me by a Sunni Muslim friend @KhwajaKhusro & a Shia Muslim writer Jannah Adam. I talk about the beliefs of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. Read & learn & undedtand the nuances. Stay blessed!
