Note : I am not being critical of horoscope making here
I think it is very much integral to Indian culture, and is a "done thing" of sorts, though the faith in pre-destination varies a fair bit in the general population

What bothers is the use of words like "scientific temper" to browbeat cultural preferences and also score political points
