This GoFundMe thing isn't working out as I hoped. I almost feel if I did a GoFundMe for a 30K pool for my & my husband's physical therapy it would do better. I don't want donations for a pool. I just want to save my bookstore. Please read my story.

This is #TheBookstore's last stand. I help my community. I need the money to keep me going until I can negotiate with the market, encourage my loyal customers to help and SAVE THE BOOKS. Alternatives to help are buying my eBay listings, giving me ADVICE, and visiting my store.
Or...maybe I've mismanaged this store. I don't know how or why but maybe someone can do better? Over 20,000 books & I know them all. Young people buy classics galore & never complain about anything. They are so happy with my huge selection.
I am at a loss. I have been running this business SOLO for 6 years and it's wearing me down. I desperately need some wind beneath my wings. What should I do? Go fund a pool or continue to try to save my books?
Does anyone know of a house for sale in my area where my husband & I could live and run the bookstore on the main floor? I would love that! I could have book signings, poetry readings, sell coffee and have chairs in front of a cozy fireplace. There is nothing.
We can't move far because ALL of my husband's VA doctors are right here. I can't make him travel any more than necessary. I just can't.
Used bookstores are falling like dominoes. All that will be left is Barnes & Noble and crappy used books from Amazon. My used books are LIKE NEW. Paperbacks 3 for $5. New hardcover titles $10. Plus I buy back best selling books for cash. And I've got aisles to browse.
How much is the knowledge of a billion words worth to you? My bookstore cherishes them all. Read and learn and visit places you have never even conceived of their existence.

This is TRUE but do you want to know why? I had a great IRA but due to Obama's poor economy I couldn't get a good paying job DESPITE being well qualified. I lost my great job as a legal secretary but I wasn't " fathered in" for the family leave act as a caregiver for my dad.

I'll tell you WHY, Bloomberg. Not only was I unable to take advantage of the Family Care Act, after losing my job I was FORCED OUT OF NYS because of extortionistic TAXES. My property taxes were more than my mortgage! I couldn't get back on my feet. NO JOBS on Long Island.

I had to sell my HOME & move to Florida where the job market was even worse due to OBAMA. I was a legal secretary. I was unable to get a job because I was in my 50's and Caucasian. That's right. White! Old! So I was thrown to the back of the bus. I always came in 2nd.
