What's the role of aggressiveness and personal confidence in success?

1) In 1993, when I was 29, I wore my best suit and went to the office of Commerce & Industry Minister Kirugi M'mukindia.... #MondayMotivation
2) I wanted to invite him for the launch of an organisation I had founded called 'Kenya Youth Finance & Entrepreneurship Association'. In those days, some Ministers in the Moi government were demigods, so I was a bit apprehensive.
3) But I told myself that the only negative reply I could get was a "NO", and so I trudged on. I was pleasantly surprised when the Minister agreed to be the guest of honour.
4) It was an eye-opener. In life, you must make things happen. Network. Wear a smile, a suit and confidence. The fear of being told "NO" shouldn't cripple you. If you encounter a wall, climb over, break through or go around it.
