Bugger me The Boys is good. First TV version of a comic I've liked.
When it touched on MeToo stuff at the beginning I thought it wouldn't have the maturity to pull it off. I was wrong. It's really smart and properly, unapologetically radical.
It's also obscene, utterly outrageously obscene, in ways I honestly didn't think anyone could get away with on TV. That shit with the dolphin will stay with me.
Although admittedly nothing is as obscene in it as Karl Urban's English accent. But his acting is brilliant anyway, as is everyone else's. What a fucking treat.
Still laughing at the dolphin thing. I might never stop laughing at it.
Aquaman's one of my favourite characters. But if you're going to take the piss out of him, you need to commit. They committed.
