Where would the @nytopinion be better putting its resources to? An opinion piece that eviscerated any of the individual or political roadblocks to a humanity-saving climate policy? Or critiquing a young girl trying to save us all.

That’s the fault of editors.
How about a piece from a conservative writer that talked about how US is blowing chance to develop market cornering technologies or a military/strategic advantage?
Has non-Trumpy conservatism just been reduced to complaining about campus politics and young activists?

How...boring and limiting.

managed to finish the list, so I’m gonna post it now. these are my top 100 favourite films of 2018, based on UK release dates which are a total bitch. I really like all of these movies and I actually had to cut more than expected
because of bullshit, Support the Girls isn’t on this list, and if it actually came out in the UK this year, it’d be really high up. I didn’t put Springsteen on Broadway or Adam Sandler 100% Fresh on the list because I didn’t want Greg to yell at me about what constitutes a film

People like @Anna_Soubry and @ChukaUmunna have been making a good case for @peoplesvote_uk based on the idea that in the original ref people didn’t know what kind of Brexit they were voting for. This makes sense because some people voted leave expecting to stay in SM etc 1/
The problem is the counter argument is also good. The mandate granted to the ref was to decide whether we stayed or left and everyone involved was clear about that at the time. To those with a sense of proportion this isn’t convincing but Brexiteers are people of principle 2/
