Hey I know Portland’s new public financing of elections is confusing but long story short. Sarah needs 500 donors to qualify for public financing which means she can compete with rich dude bros like Ted Wheeler. Can you give just $5 to help her qualify?! sarah2020.com/donate
It’s sad but winning an election costs money. Getting your message heard is expensive. Your $5 will net the campaign $35. You’re $50 gives the campaign $350. This means Sarah spends her time talking to people like you, not millionaires and billionaires.
Even if you don’t love Sarah (which you should), you should want big money out of politics. To do that we need strong publicly financed candidates. It isn’t easy to get 500 donors but if you’re one of the 500, you’re part of history. #OurPortland
