I’m in El Paso this evening, at a vigil for victims of yesterday’s shooting outside the Las Americas headquarters. 
Beto O’Rourke is speaking now. He calls El Paso “the best place on planet earth, if you ask me.”
“There are so many right now who want to make us afraid of each other. Make us angry. Keep us apart based on our differences. ... This community has born the brunt of it,” he says.

Beto on the alleged gunman: “He was from half a state away, bringing that fear, bringing that anger, bringing that hatred, and bringing that racism. And the gun.”
O’Rourke delivers a passionate rallying cry for El Paso, and calls for some specific gun control measures.
Beto O’Rourke on his way to his car was asked if there’s anything Trump can do now to make this better.
“What do you think? You know the shit he’s been saying. He’s been calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals. I don’t know, like, members of the press, what the fuck?”

This came at the end of an emotional night as he was trying to find his wife and had been boxed in between cars.

I didn’t get video, but here’s audio of the question and Beto O’Rourke’s answer. This came after an emotional vigil in El Paso, as O’Rourke circled behind a building looking for his wife.
