BREAKING: JW announced today it received records of 14 referrals of FBI employees to the organization’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) for the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive or classified information (1/3).

The disclosure comes off the heels of Judicial Watch’s uncovering a FBI report detailing fired FBI Director James Comey kept FBI documents on President @realDonaldTrump at his house. Comey also admitted to leaking these documents (2/3).

DOJ's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) has opened an investigation into possible professional misconduct in the Jeffrey Epstein case (miamiherald.com/news/local/art…). OPR inquiries usually end, at worst, w/ employees getting fired. Findings are rarely made public.
As The Miami Herald recently noted, an Inspector General (IG) investigation could lead to a public airing of the facts, but the IG is not allowed to explore prosecutorial misconduct. miamiherald.com/news/state/flo…
(Replacing last tweet which had a typo): For those seeking consequences for Alex Acosta (U.S. attorney during the Epstein case), I'm not sure how an OPR investigation leads to those. Acosta is now the labor secretary; DOJ OPR doesn't handle his discipline.

I wanted to ensure a correlation is made between two events. First, @ChuckGrassley letter to @JusticeOIG after myself and 2 others report the discrimination & retaliation against female agent supervisors. Many more came forward after this. grassley.senate.gov/news/news-rele…
Years later, @JusticeOIG issues a pretty detailed report that reportedly stemmed from reports to @ChuckGrassley office on gender discrimination & retaliation. oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/e…
I’m going into my 7th year of my case. This length is usual and shows the process is the punishment thanks to @USEEOC @EEOC_OFO @FBI @TheJusticeDept I should note @ChuckGrassley has asked at least 3 times for @JusticeOIG to review the circumstances surrounding my case.

The Department of Justice today announced Corey Amundson as the head of the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR). Corey Amundson has replaced Robin Ashton, who left the position after almost a decade of service in the Office of Professional Responsibility.
As the head of the OPR, Mr. Amundson will lead a component of the U.S. Department of Justice that investigates misconduct allegations against Department attorneys, immigration judges, and law enforcement agents. He is the fourth permanent head since the office was founded.

The NY Times did an article a while back about the lack of female agents in the higher ranks. Of the bureau’s 13,523 agents over all, 2,683, or about 20 percent, are women.“There is a lack of women in leadership roles.”
“The big challenge we’ve been confronting over the last 2 years is, how do we get women & people of color” to join the F.B.I., Mr. Comey said last Sunday at a conference of police chiefs in San Diego. “That’s been our big trouble, & I’ve described it as a crisis.”
Comey needed to look at retention; not recruitment. How many women and people of color resign from the FBI. How many of these people file EEOs. Senator Grassley brought up the female whistleblowers & Comey refused to meet with us.
