A great founder doesn't need to get hung up on being the CEO forever.

The number of people who can go from ‘idea stage’ to ‘business’ is much smaller than the number of people who can make great CEOs of late stage companies.

A great founder could start a company every 4 years and build their own portfolio. That's much more value creating.

Note: the key words in all the above being... "doesn't need to get hung up".

Of course it's possible. We all know the examples. When it does happen it's like magic and tends to create something far more transformational over a longer period of time.
