Find a strategy/setup that is:

1 simple
2 common
3 DEFINABLE
4 winrate >50%
5 RR >3:1

then EMERGE urself in it until u MASTER it. Burn everything else

There are SO many strategies out there. SO many setups, SO many "mentors". U simply cant expect ur brain to digest all of that. u'll have too much conflicting info. Most fail more from information overload than ignorance. Just pick ONE thing & fucking master it.

2 trades a day, a 50%+ winrate, a 3:1 RR & a max loss of $50 will turn ur $2K acct into $4K in just a month (no fees). ALL u need is a 50% winrate & the discipline to keep ur RR at 3:1 or higher. Easier said than done but u get the point. Focus on RR optimization

I can give u SEVERAL signals to look out for, but my rule of thumb for figuring out if supply (bears) or demand (bulls) is simple:

if u cant tell that Bears are in control, then they are not.

Done. It's literally that simple. My only exception is parabolic (blowoff) moves.
Most ppl like to short strength or try to guess the top. The result, far too often they risk blowups just to make pennies or breakeven. I dont anticipate shit. I LET the stock SHOW me that it is weak, THEN I attack. I want to get in when bulls ran out of ammo. clean all day fades
A successful shortseller hunts like a lion. Dont be fooled by action packed and dramatic lion documentaries. REAL lion hunts are BORING. They dont attack the alpha Bull when he is strong & mighty. They WAIT for him to tire, to wear down, to exhaust. THEN they go for the jugular.

Going through my usual weekend routine (cleaning up the inbox/catching up on DMs etc.) & almost every question this week is on the same topic (fundamentals & faders), so im going to post a thread to answer this again. Grab some cofee & let's begin. Get ready to have feelings hurt
Recently, as most have already noticed, people have been going around teaching absolute GARBAGE about fundamentals & filings. Teaching things that are 100% flat out WRONG. Sure enough, newer traders who dont know any better & trusted these ppl, blindly followed, and got WRECKED.
Which is why I get so enraged when ppl who have NO CLUE what they're talking about, try to TEACH, instead of LEARNING first. Everyone wants to be a teacher these days even when they're NOT ready, without even realizing that their mistakes are costing people MONEY and BLOWUPS.

A secret of mine I've used since 2011, that has contributed greatly to my progress in many areas of life, is the simple "Daily Routine". Those who know me personally know that I live & die by my DR. It's a checklist of SPECIFIC things that I MUST do EVERY day, for the entire year
Creating it is simple. 1st, pick ONE long term goal for that year. Not 2 or 3, just 1. Then, select at least 10 things that u MUST do EVERY SINGLE day, in order to achieve that goal by the end of the year. That is ur DR. U must NEVER break it, & u must track ur performance daily.
Depending on your goal for that year, the daily routine obviously changes. When I wanted to grow intellectually, it was as simple as "read 10 pages of any book today, read 5 biographies today, learn 1 new animal today, learn about 1 new country today, watch 1 ted Talk today" etc.

People frequently ask about rewriting their screenplays and a few days ago while waiting for a plane I tweeted a bunch of stuff - but not in any thread. Unconnected. So I am correcting that now, with this thread.

2. The most important thing with any rewrite is distance - to have "fresh eyes" on the screenplay so that you can see the flaws. The *best* way to do this is to alternate drafts. Write Script A, then write Script B, *then* rewrite script A.

3) After you rewrite Script A, Write script C, then rewrite Script B. Keep this going. You not only get "fresh eyes" on every screenplay, you end up writing a lot of screenplays! Yes, you will do additional drafts on each script: and you can squeeze those in anywhere.

alright, this will be kind of a long-ish thread so if youre not into it just keep scrolling its all good. otherwise, people often ask me to explain my images and talk about the symbolism or whats going on “behind” them, normally i dont really do this. [...]
part of the reason why i like making images is that they stand on their own and, especially online, have whatever context the viewer is bringing to them. ill explain and discuss symbolism but usually dont go in depth in terms of how something i made relates to me personally
but i just wrapped up something that i guess you could say i put more of myself into than normal, and, in a way i kind of feel like doing this image closed this chapter of my life that ive been stuck in for a minute

1) I'm not sure how to make people remember or care that 15 years ago the United States invaded Iraq, setting off a war that continues to this day, with several hundred thousand Iraqis dead, millions turned into refugees. I covered the invasion for the New York Times Magazine.
2) Though I'm a writer, I shot photos during the invasion as I drove a rented Hyundai SUV from Kuwait into Iraq via Safwan, then up the spine of the country to Nasiriya, Diwaniya, Hilla, Kut and finally Baghdad. Here's the Hyundai on March 19, 2003. It's clean--that will change
3) The photographer I worked with, Laurent vander Stockt, drove his own SUV. After several failed attempts to get into Iraq, one time turned back at gunpoint by U.S. soldiers, we finally got through, via what we guessed was a minefield (I followed Lauren tracks). Here's Laurent.
