[BLACK STAR INTRODUCTION THREAD]

Since the release date is terrifyingly close, here is a thread on Black Star ~Theatre Starless~, an idol-type gacha rhythm mobage that will be released on 9th September 2019!

WHAT IS BLACK STAR?

It is a gacha + rhythm game by Donuts, the creator of Tokyo 7th Sisters, centered around a show restaurant, "Starless", and the (male) employees who work (perform) there.

Prior to the game's release, there are multiple drama tracks featuring the boys on YouTube. These tracks have official JP subtitles, with some episodes having subs in other languages. This allows for automatic MTL!

The male performers are split both into two categories, Performer and Singer, and three teams: Team K, Team W, and Team P. Each team has a distinct style and all consist of one to two Singers and the rest being Performers.

Each Singer has a different voice actor for their actual speech and for their songs. There are 5 Singer characters, but currently, the 3 confirmed singers are Fujita Ray, Kobayashi Taro, and kradness (yes, THAT kradness)

These three teams all have a "top", also known as the "leader" of the group, who is generally the most skilled of them all. Additionally, all three teams are engaged in an "entertainment battle" to reach the top. The game description describes them as "warmen".

A super performer who reigns as an absolute champion. Incredibly distrustful.

A faithful No. 2-type that is ready to believe in anyone and everyone. Worried about being mistaken for a host.

'A Dog Waiting For It's Master'

Quiet and emotionless. Incredibly athletic. Is waiting for someone he calls his "Master".

-His nationality is unknown
-Can do parkour
-Unfeeling, inexpressive, pure

'Curious Lone Wolf'
CV: Takeuchi Ryota

Open and is good at talking to people, but never tries to push. Joined Starless after a fight with Kokuyo.

-Bold outlaw
-Apparently shaves (they use the word for "seal") his beard?

'Narcissistic Former Host'
CV: Ogasawara Jin

Former host with amazing self-love and self-confidence. Joined Starless at the new owner's request.

-Has a lover's physique
-Gets an awful amount of karma

Baby-faced singer who is both weak and weak to pressure. Good when practicing alone, but often fails during group practice.

'Wild Thug'

Although he both looks and behaves roughly, he is quite popular and is cherished by his friends. Starless' first member.

Lives to dance, uninterested in everything else. Dislikes it when people approach him from behind, and will attack them.

SHIN
'Mysterious And Intelligent'

A large man who speaks ominous yet meaningful words. Likes chess. An avid reader.

-Apparently greets and is greeted by crows
-Likes to read while drinking red tea

An office worker with a mob character's shadow-like presence. Since he has such little presence, whenever he speaks up, he often ends up surprising others.

The "big brother" type who is good at caring for others, and can be easily relied on. Joins Starless later.

A V-kei (Visual-kei) singer who loves women. Goes with the flow, never taking anything too seriously.

With a dignified character, he is someone who is kind to and soft on others and has a strong sense of responsibility. Apparently, he used to work as an idol.

A honest-to-god back-alley kid born in the downtown area. Because he finds it hard to trust people, he's pretty dissatisfied with his situation.

(Also, I'm not too sure what 淋しがり屋の尖ったナイフ means so I went with the most literal translation... I'm guessing he... either defends or targets exceptionally lonely people? Probably defends, given how he treats Gui)

'Exceedingly Beautiful High-heeled Man'
CV: Kobayashi Yuu

Joined Starless as a drag queen and a model. His trademark are his high-heels. Old friends with Mokuren.

Torisashi is something like chicken sashimi except the outer layer is lightly seared!

SHINJU
'A Poor Yet Lively Idol'
CV: Osaka Ryota

A cheerful and energetic former idol. An optimistic hard worker. Always running forward.

-Even though he's broke, he's still lively!
-Greatly admires and aspired to be just like Rindou

A constantly-sleeping onsen-lover. Performing onstage is his reason for being, and seems to become a different person whenever he stands onstage.

A tsundere singer with both a beautiful voice and a beautiful appearance. Though he recognizes his beautiful voice and beautiful appearance are, he dislikes being judged by his outside.

Starless' new owner. However, he's not interested in the restaurant itself, and is trying to turn it a host club so that can earn more.

'The overworked staff member'

Starless' in-house staff. Because he's the only staff member, he's always called upon. Weak, but always positive.

His "title" specifically points to him being a staff member of a low position but I couldn't find a good way to put that in without it being awkward

please pay him he deserves it
