🔦Jan 2019 panel w/ Bob Kraft, Van Jones & others:

JayZ says growing up in a single parent house causes people to have an “adverse feeling toward authority” which causes them to tell police “f*ck you” resulting in interactions that “causes people to lose lives.”
#JayzNFL
After saying people are killed during police interactions, JayZ continues, “we don’t want those in charge of the police areas to be in danger either. We want to be very clear. If someone commits a crime they should go to jail.”

#JayzNFL
JayZ links the issues to politicians who “run on this,” but assures he means “no disrespect. I don’t want anyone to feel defensive about what I’m saying.”

He says the broken family structure impacts police officer families & “hard working” taxpayers who pay for jails. #JayzNFL
This was the only time during the session that JayZ spoke. No other panelists offered any correction or clarification to JayZ’s comments.
After JayZ shared his thoughts, Van Jones (now involved in 3 NFL social justice partnerships/deals) announces the end and says he is skipping the planned audience questions.

Looks like there was some planned audience interaction using disposable plates.
Van Jones says they want to “put themselves in a long line of freedom struggle going back to enslavement...women couldn’t vote...LGTBQ were disrespected...”

He says “none of those movements were successful without art...without heart.”

He then cuts to a musical performance.
The above JayZ clip on single moms reminded me of a clip I dug up on NFL owner Bob McNair who was once asked about schools helping “low socio-economic” single moms.

McNair said single motherhood is a cultural problem & the moms had to be held accountable.
In the above clip where JayZ says taxpayers pay for jails, he gestures to Patriots owner Robert Kraft who made the point earlier that “taxpayers are paying to keep” people in jail. Kraft makes an economic argument against incarceration ending with “we can make America better.”

January 2019 Reform Alliance launch event and panel discussion.

JayZ speaks once at the ~55:20 mark.

FWIW, there are white supremacists accounts responding to this thread and agreeing with JayZ.
Police: “The vehicle was parked aggressively.”

Jordan Edwards was 15 and was sitting in a parked car when Balch Springs, TX police officer Roy Oliver shot into the car, murdering Jordan.

Jordan’s mom and dad were not in jail. Jordan had both parents.
Timing... This event took place January 2019.

If #JayzNFL was a comic book, this is issue #1.

To not get this, one has to fail to understand story arcs and origin stories.

Psss: the Roots surround the Super Bowl.

Pssssss: There was an intellectual artist picket line.
@VanJones68 is now defending JayZ on Twitter. Here is @tariqnasheed’s follow up.
Van Jones’ Dream Corp got $500,000 from the NFL + Travis Scott Super Bowl Halftime Show Deal.

But Travis expressed sympathy for George Zimmerman. He said him and others (listen for him to say Hov [JayZ]) believe black people have to change.

He, like JayZ mentions parents.
Van Jones’ Dream Corp boasted on its official website that it was the only reason Travis Scott was doing the Super Bowl halftime show. thedreamcorps.org/the_only_reaso…
The article on the Dream Corp website references Colin Kaepernick’s protests, the NFL cracking down on the protests, and artists Pink and Rihanna boycotting the Super Bowl.
Interestingly, the 2017 Players Coalition deal also had 25% of the NFL money going to Van Jones’s Dream Corp.

Eric Reid and others said the deal wouldn’t bring Colin Kaepernick back on the league and was an attempt by the NFL to stop the protests. ESPN confirmed that effort.
The point of all this is to say the NFL is going to great lengths and is willing to hand over vast sums of money and power to vanquish Colin Kaepernick from the league.

The supplanters they are finding to fill the “social justice” void, are lacking and harmful. #JayzNFL
Travis Scott:

2013: Empathy for George Zimmerman. Black people got to change.

2014: Michael Brown, he wasn’t perfect...he got himself killed.

2015-2017: Crickets 🦗🦗

2018: NFL, I need you to give Van Jones $500K 💰 and then I will cross the artist picket line.
Wow, there is a bunch of MAGAs high fiving JayZ and Travis Scott over these comments. They love this.
JayZ: Black people are responsible for police brutality.

MAGA Twitter:
Ya’ll might want to check out this new thread where the NFL + Roc Nation chose to give #InspireChange money to a white lady who convinces Black youth to cut their hair.
