Biden now says he voted for the Iraq measure because he believed Bush when Bush said he needed the vote for diplomatic leverage. Back in 2003, Biden was open about how he’d voted to authorize military force, as he’d long said might be necessary.
Trump has made a very similar false claim, repeatedly saying — again last week — that he opposed the Iraq invasion from the beginning. Trump’s claim was also debunked by @KFILE, in his old job three years ago. buzzfeednews.com/article/andrew…
