We'll explain this one a bit, since it isn't quite as famous as Cyberpunk or the Witcher. Mekton was our first RPG and is all about giant robots and their pilots. Inspired by Gundam, among other things, the game doesn't center on a single setting but
instead gives gamers the tools they need to simulate the giant robot setting/style of their choosing, from the Top Gun Soap Opera of Robotech to the dating sim style of Sakura Wars to the sentai-mimicing Voltron and beyond.

And that's the end of the rolling. Now, we need to string it all together into a background. Here we go!
Baronette Zachary Boro was born the first son of a noble family in the Terran Empire. As such, he was expected to enter the military and serve
with distinction. After all, the Terran Empire was in a race with the mysterious Syreen Tribal Confederation to claim and colonize planets. Border skirmishes happened often though full out war hadn't broken out. Yet.
Zachary (aka Zeke) proved to be a gregarious and fun loving teen who made friends easily and even stayed on good terms with ex-boyfriends. Despite his silly attitude, his skills with a wrench caught the eye of the family driver,
a former soldier who served with Zeke's dad in days gone by. She made sure when Zeke went to the Terran Mech Corps Officer's Academy, the head of the school garage knew he was coming.
Zeke was thrilled to find he was in the academy with two old friends. His pal from school, Bobby, who loved fast vehicles, and Yuri, an ace programmer and chess player. The three were a team throughout their school years.
Less a member of the team was Clyde. Clyde was arrogant. Smug. A complete asshole. Yet, somehow, a lot of Zeke's fights with Clyde ended up with them trying to one up each other in whatever closet or bed they could find nearby.
That strange not-quite romance still flares up to this day, when Clyde and Zeke run into each other. Of course, Zeke doesn't know his sexual frenemies relationship with Clyde has also made an enemy of Clyde's father, who thinks Zeke is
responsible for Clyde's reluctance to marry a designated bride and provide the family with an heir.
After graduating, Zeke was assigned to the HMS Moscow, a Terran escort cruiser, as a Mekton engineer. He loved the job almost
as much as he enjoyed flirting with the gorgeous pilots in the hangar bay and playing games with Yuri, who works with him to diagnose and repair the mech they've been assigned to. Technically, he's of a higher rank but they act as equals.
A few months before the game opens, Zeke was on a shuttle, returning to the Moscow from a trip home when it fell out of the warp stream due to a Syreen gravity mine. The shuttle pilot fought the Syreen fighter waiting for them and both
went down on a nearby uninhabited but somewhat hospitable world. Zeke was the only survivor of the shuttle crash. He and the Syreen pilot, an alluring (as all Syreen are!) man named Whoni, had to work together to survive. Zeke's flirtatious
nature took over after a few weeks and the two ended up sharing a bedroll as well as a hut. When a Terran scout ship found them, Zeke told Whoni to hide, worried the Syreen would be captured and imprisoned.
Whoni saw things differently. He thought Zeke had abandoned him and vowed revenge.
Now, Zeke is on the Moscow once more, trying to find some peace and balance after his last adventure.
And so ends the story of Baronette Zachary "Zeke" Boro. Flirtatious and silly mech tech! We do hope you enjoyed! This has been an example of the Mekton Zeta #lifepath. You can purchase Mekton Zeta from our webstore talsorianstore.com
