After his 3 pm live shot today, Fox Sr WH correspondent @johnrobertsFox was beckoned to the Oval Office by @realDonaldTrump.

2/ “He stressed to me that forecasts for Dorian last week had Alabama in the warning cone,” Roberts wrote in an intern Fox email obtained by CNN. “He insisted that it is unfair to say Alabama was never threatened by the storm.”

3/ Roberts’ analysis of the meeting was that the president was “just looking for acknowledgement that he was not wrong for saying that at some point, Alabama was at risk – even if the situation had changed by the time he issued the tweet,” Sunday morning.

5/ Roberts referred a reporter to Fox News PR when asked for comment. Fox News PR did not immediately respond to a message.

Roberts says he pointed out to the president that by the time of his Sunday 10:51 am ET tweet warning Alabama (as well as other states) of the storm,...

6/ ...the projected trajectory of the storm had moved much farther east and was no longer including any part of Alabama.

Trump “seemed to agree that the forecast track had moved – but he was adamant that at some point, Alabama was at risk,” Roberts wrote.

7/ ”He also reminded that on occasions in the past, forecast tracks have changed dramatically,” Roberts wrote.

It’s Thursday. Bahamians have been killed, Dorian is making its way up the Carolinas, and the president is still fixated on this.
