tired: "ADHD might relate to a problem with norepinephrine"

wired: the "problem with norepinephrine" is literally because of this, right here:
that and countless other problems and maladaptive cognitive pathways, like learning that the only way to complete any task is by forcing yourself, preventing proper enjoyment of literally anything
anyways while we're on this topic of never learning how to love things, never learning how to be yourself, and drowning in a pile of parentally-enforced self-inflicted anxiety, would this interest anyone. i've been working on it for a while now
okay people seem to like this idea so here are my personal notes docs.google.com/document/d/1lR…
i'm kinda glad this was so well received? like i half-expected responses to range from "wow, this shit's blatantly obvious and useless" to "haha you're telling me to love things! how silly"
i added a new page. i feel like this one is particularly important docs.google.com/document/d/1lR…
added another one. this one is a bit amorphous but i hope it makes some sense to someone, somewhere. i wonder if someone else has put together this particular one in a more coherent form.

i have only roughly grasped the shape of this problem, don't quite know a 'solution', and don't know the experiences of enough other people to know how common it is among others, but i have an intuitive sense that it's really, really important
i have been informed that this is, in fact, in a nutshell, the problem mindfulness was intended to solve....

.....but because i didn't understand the problem it was trying to solve, my attempts at teaching it to myself didn't help much for me in the past
as usual, MCTB has an incredibly detailed and fantastic set of advice on what to do with "unwanted" emotions and thoughts. this is actually incredible so i'm just going to post the whole thing here.
having identified the shape of a particular cognitive problem that seems rather endemic -- and tends to chain a lot of people down in a way they often don't fully realize -- i added one more page near the start.

tl;dr ya gotta stop justifying everything to everyone and yourself, and oh my god if you work with kids stop making them do that
