1/. A few years ago, while atop Mt. Kenya, Ndindi Nyoro held his dick and tiny mentality as he threw gang-signs like 2 Pac. It was a show of dominance that was meant to send a strong message to Raila’s supporters.
2/ Ndindi would later write a long uninspiring post on Facebook urging President Uhuru to beat to pulp Raila’s supporters.
3/ Power is voracious and proximity to it coopts. It distorts thinking. Nyoro is now shaking in fear. But sympathy is the last thing I can feel for him. At least not for now.

I was working as a casualty officer at the State Hospital Akure. I ran shifts with my colleagues and we were in charge of all emergencies ranging from medical, Obs/Gyn, pediatrics, surgical emergencies. I thrive in emergency situations, I like the A&E.
It is a place of work, sober reflection and fun when everything goes well. Reality check, different stories, different people.
Back then the hospital had a theater and an emergency cupboard, well stocked to ensure that patients got the required attention in minutes.

Few years ago I had a conversation with a coworker in their mid/late 50s. He was lamenting that he wasted his youth, got married late, had kids late, never saved and would be working through his 70s to just get the kids out of the house.
He claimed he’d never be able to retire. A familiar sentiment.

I mentioned my thought that retirement seemed strange. You work your best years to then spend down the money when older and not as able.
It seemed that there some be some retirement type thing in your early 20s that you pay back in your later working years. He said. “Yeah, we already have that. It’s called living on credit cards, welcome to my 20s..”

[THREAD] So, there's a syndicate of crooks in #Kenya who have been cloning vehicle registration plates, and using random vehicles to commit crimes.
A few months ago, i had tweeted about being paid a visit at my place of business by two smartly dressed plain-clothes police officers and a Chinese national.
They said that they had "evidence" that a vehicle registered to me was involved in a house-breaking in Kilimani.

I study the psychology of fandom. One thing that seems very clear to me in some of the comments I’ve seen directed at @cassieclare is that there is a tendency to prioritize the (imaginary) feelings of fictional characters over the real-world feelings of an actual person.
Many of the complaints I’ve seen in comments come in the form of “she said X about Y!” where Y is a fictional character, but treated as if they were a real-person.
Psychologically, this makes sense. Fans have spent so much more time with the characters and know them so much better! Our brains aren’t wired to believe that beloved characters we’ve spent a lot of time with aren’t real. Even if we know that rationally, it doesn’t FEEL that way.
