Fun new development in Afghan peace negotiations: The Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee has now *subpoena'd* Trump's envoy for peace talks with the Taliban after the State Department "ignored numerous requests for briefings by Khalilzad"
Full statement by Dem Chairman, Eliot Engel: “I’m fed up with this Administration keeping Congress and the American people in the dark on the peace process and how we’re going to bring this long war to a close." 
This comes after, according to Engel, the State Department "refused requests in February, April, and earlier this month for briefings or testimony from Ambassador Khalilzad on the Afghanistan peace plan."
