1. One of the frustrating things about Trump fans is how they think the world should bow down to him because of employment figures. At the same time, they say Obama wrecked employment.

I would not deal with this if not for their insistence of how it proves Trump's greatness....

2...this is the issue of people who only get their info from Fox, which once posted a graphic showing that (approximate) 4.6 was larger than 4.9, so they could mislead into unemployment going up w/ Obama.

Here is reality. When Obama started, he inherited massive unemployment...

3...the second from the left gray section is the great recession. When it turns white, there is a slight continuing climb in the six months from Jan 2009 through June 2009. The first Obama policiers kicked in in June 2009. If you want to argue Presidents are responsible for....

4...everything economic (which I do not believe - whether Obama, Trump, whoever) then if Trump gets credit for what he has done, Obama gets credit for what he did.

So now, let's move onto Trump. You will see, the massive collapse of unemployment continues into Trump....

5...now let's take it up to April 2019, the most recent I can find a chart for, and it shows the numbers continuing to drop (although the division between Obama and Trump is not marked.)....

6...so, again, I dont believe presidents are responsible for everything economic. BUT if Trumpers want to argue that somehow Trump is solely responsible for unemployment rate, then he is the guy who grabbed the baton 10 ft from finish line from the guy who just ran a mile...

7...I have ABSOLUTELY no doubt that Trump and the GOP have stretched out economic performance past a recession. It HAS to be true, because they borrowed trillions of dollars (tax cuts plus spending increases) and flooded the economy with cash. That is very stupid economically...

8...because it uses up all of our ability to manage a future recession - and it will come, no doubt, because they always do - with fiscal policy. If Trump succeeded in pushing Fed to drop interest rates, there would be another extension of success, then a free-fall as both ....

9...fiscal policy and monetary policy could not be used to counter a recession.

Now, onto their next economic argument: Black unemployment rate is lower than ever. Yes, it is. ...

10. ...(A sidenote: It is SO telling that many Trumpers, when stating blacks should support Trump, always mention crime laws. The essence: "Oh, you're black? Well, we passed laws regarding prison, so since youre black, that must be what you care most about." Utter racism)...

11...anyway, back to black unemployment. Once again, Trumpers want everyone to give all of the credit to the guy who carried the baton 10 feet, not the one who carried it a mile.

Here is black unemployment. Again, exploded in 2008...

12...then, black unemployment under Obama and then to Trump.

Now, through 2019 - by February, it popped back up to 7.0%, now at 5.5%.

This means black unemployment under Obama dropped about 55% after a recession. Under Trump, about 29% during a boom...

13...so here is the bottom line: Presidents are not individually responsible for economic performance, BUT if you are going to argue they are, then Obama wins hands down. And again, the PRICE of what Trump/GOP have done to keep economy going will be paid in the next recession.

14...so no, Trump does not get credit for moving the dial a bit more while Cult45 simultaneously condemn growth under Obama as "socialism."

Unless..do Trumpers think socialism led to huge growth? Or do they, in gulping down Fox, have no idea what reality is? I pick the 2nd.
