most people are completely incapable of eating food for sustenance purposes. everything has to be a “great meal”, and then while theyre eating it, theyre talking about how it could be better. not sure why this triggers some deep and primordial resentment inside of me
[while eating food]: “omg u know what this would be great with???”

silence

an appreciation of the quiet noble beauty of simple things

living in reality instead of our floating world fantasies

oh blue cheese yeah this would be great with blue cheese for sure
love when im eating something and people actively force me to imagine how it could potentially be better

absolute samsara
food (almost) always COULD be better, in some way. paradoxically as some people begin to think of themselves as “foodies” (cursed term) they stop actually enjoying any food as they set an impossible ideal in their mind. many such cases. desire ouroboros

conversely i am friends with several chefs and enjoy cooking a lot, obviously. i am just saying. many people cannot eat just potato in silence like ancient sages. their subtle body is 90% a giant mouth
theres a quote from a famous monk or maybe its even a saint where he talks about how people shouldnt seek out good tasting food obsessively. someone posted it recently and everyone was like "what this is so lame and weird". who has it
