city life robs you of many basic pleasures i was ignorant of until last year. in the city i had more money than i needed but never got any satisfaction from spending it. now i know my mechanic, for example, and when i drop $300 there i know its supporting his family. its great
many things are like this now. less facelessness. i see the person that owns this store or that store, i see their kids, life becomes actualized in many tangible ways i never thought about until recently.
constantly feel like this chicken my cousin had once that lived in a factory farm + then went to his real farm. said in the beginning it was kind of weird and wanted to sleep in a little box because thats what it was used to, but it slowly became like the other chickens over time
i think about that chicken every day
