Amsterdam Trade Bank is a subsidiary of Mikhail Fridman's Alfa Bank. ATB was suspected of being part of the scheme to drive down the value of Zed before it was purchased by Fridman - and was under money laundering investigation by Dutch Authorities in 2017
Earlier this year Fridman's Vimpelcom (now VEON) was mentioned in a $1 billion bribery and money laundering case in SDNY against a former Uzbek official and a telecomm exec

Spanish prosecutor José Grinda tells me the FBI — “are interested in some investigations in Spain” — and reveals, the bureau told him, Spanish wiretaps implicating Alexander Torshin, the Russian politician who courted the NRA — “would be sent to Mueller.”
Grinda says Torshin, the Russian politician now deputy head of the Russian Central Bank, is linked to Grigory Rabinovitch, whom he identifies as the leader of the Taganskaya Brotherhood.
Torshin has not only met Donald Trump Jr. Torshin attempted to broker a meeting with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in May 2016, and was scheduled to meet privately with the President in February 2017, before White House officials pulled it.
