Geoffrey Cox veers off on rant about Parliament blocking a GE and denying 17.4 million people what they voted for. Blimey, that was unexpected! Like a poodle suddenly turning into a rabid rhinoceros. "The time is coming when even these turkeys won't be able to prevent Christmas."
Banging on about Parliament having lost the moral right to sit. This is quite something. And not in a good way.
This appears to be his "Don't fire me, Boris... please!" speech.

Parliament is about to re-sit... Not sure if it will be shown on BBC Parliament because they're currently broadcasting the Labour Party conference and may have some sort of obligation to keep doing so. But we can know MPs are back at work anyway.
Can watch it on Parliament TV...
Looks like BBC Parliament will cut to it too. (They never broadcast the prayers at the start).

From the UK's @UKSupremeCourt judgement today in the case of R v Prime Minister (On appeals from: [2019] EWHC 2381 (QB) and [2019] CSIH 49).
In a landmark Judgement today, 11 Justices ruled unanimously that Prime Minister @BorisJohnson had acted unlawfully..
when he advised the Queen to prorogue Parliament for a period of 6 weeks from a date betn 9-12 Sep to 14 Oct 2019.
This is a landmark judgement and the fact that it is unanimous lends further to its weight. It led immediately to calls to @BorisJohnson to 'consider his position'
That phrase is code for "Resign!". Most Constitutional experts agree that under its unwritten Constitution the British Prime Minister wields great power - far more than say the US President. But #BoJo has been stymied ever since he became PM.

The bakers in the gay cake case WON their appeal. Their objection was to message on the cake, not personal characteristics including sexual orientation or political opinion. They had rights to free expression and freedom of conscience not to express views they didn't agree with
