Cox responding to an UQ about his advice to the PM.
Claiming the government made its position clear in full during the case.
"If every time I was called upon to resign when I lost a case, Mr Speaker, I probably would never have had a practice."
Claims the government acted in good faith and in the belief that its approach was both legal and constitutional.

Now reminding the HOC of the lower court decisions that found for the Government.
"I will consider over the coming days whether the public interest would be served by the disclosure of further aspects of the advice given the Government."
Cox: "It is important to remember that our judges are both impartial and independent."
Cox is in a supremely feisty mood, if you'll pardon the pun.
Cox: "The Supreme Court disagreed [with his advice] but in doing so they made new law, as they were entirely entitled to do."
