My favorite color is purple. Not everything I own is purple but like, a lot of it is. Today is one of those days where I accidentally over-purpled it: Purple & gray headwrap, purple skirt, purple Docs, purple suitcases...

Too late now. Time to head to the airport. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I forgot: purple water bottle, purple glasses...

I plan to use it the next time I teach Gender Studies 101 but I’m going to give the copy I’m reading to a gender-questioning teen in my life. It provides definitions, stories & advice on gender expression, coming out, transitioning, etc. The tone is friendly, gentle & supportive.
I wish someone had given me something like this when I was 12/13. If you have a teen or young adult in your life who could use a little introduction to queerness, I highly recommend this book!

I am human and sometimes feel like giving up. But I pray the Lord strengthens me that I may tarry on.

Dealt with my first sim swapping incident today. Target had their phone number set as the recovery option for gmail. Attacker contacted telco, tricked support person into issuing them a replacement sim for target's phone number, then used it to reset the gmail account.
I've heard of cases where sim swapping was done to bypass 2FA, but in this instance they gained access to gmail without knowing the password or 2FA code. This is something that could happen to anyone; phone numbers can be easily transferred by social engineering Telco staff.
Using SMS for 2FA is risky, but using SMS for account recovery means someone could access your account just by knowing your phone number. I personally prefer not to have a recovery option on my accounts, but if you must, use a gmail account with Authy 2FA enabled.

2. @realDonaldTrump started the day with a little truth bomb tweet. He said he had nothing to do with the Russians helping him to win. Well after the tweet he went to the WH lawn and the lies starting flying like(insert Ratherism here) balloons popping at a porcupine....
