Alright, quick #Gears5 rant. This game is fantastic and I’m really enjoying it but it definitely has issues that need attention sooner than later. I understand letting the meta settle for gameplay tweaks but as a primary KotH player, flashes need a nerf or a change.

Options: only allow 2 players on each team to equip them

Put a cool down timer on them that doesn’t restart when spawning

Allow us to shoot while flashed, like every other game known to man

FIX THE RANKING SYSTEM. WE SHOULDNT BE LOSING POINTS FOR 60+ elims and mvp on a team where 2 of our teammates quit. My friends who have been playing alongside me in KotH shouldnt still be Silver 2 when I’m Diamond 2.

FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, put a lock on ranked playlists until you’re a certain level. If I get teamed up with another potato who doesn’t even know simple mechanics, I’m going to lose my mind. You cannot win in this game with a man down against a competent team.

This store is bad. Reaaal bad. Way too expensive. Lackluster skins. It’s going to push people away from the game. You’re hurting yourself and your fans @GearsofWar

Please fix matchmaking. I should not be in a queue for 5+ minutes still. I know there’s tons of people playing. It’s especially bad with 5 stacks.

Tour of Duty & re-up rewards are super weak and waaaaaaaay too grindy. Waaay too many horde/escape specific medals. More versus medals please. I don’t wanna be forced to play game modes I don’t enjoy just so I can get rewards from the tour.

Escalation 2.0 just isn’t it. Too slow paced. Also, please change it back to execution rules. Just doesn’t feel like Gears imo.

Spawns are horrible. Like horrendous in KotH. I should not be fighting 4 people with spawn protection 10 seconds after I just wiped them off a hill. Especially with how bad flashes are.

The Terminator skin is the most OP skin in Gears history and needs a hard nerf. It’s tiny & impossible to see in shadows. Please add lights to it or change the color or something. People are abusing it.

There’s more but I think this is a good start. I’m passionate which may come off as entitled or rude but I just love Gears. I think Gears 5 has massive potential and I want to see it succeed. Especially with so many new players coming in.

I know how hard the team over at @CoalitionGears has worked and continues to work on this game. It’s truly amazing and I am so thankful for it. I just want it to have longevity and continued success.
