Legal Twitter is great. Can't get enough of it. From the size of the followings, neither can you. We have all learned so much from it. But it's a measure of the costs of Brexit that we have had our attention diverted to our legal foundations.
Perhaps the upside is that the crisis refreshes our knowledge of the stuff society is built out of, where it is robust, and where it isn't. Where law is causal and where it is a manifestation, and where it's both.
At risk of being @'ed by Minsky fans, this is like a benign Minsky cycle for law in general. Stability breeds and permits ignorance of the law, which at some point produces social crises that put strains on our constitutional and legal systems.
