1. Like I tweeted the other day, do not be surprised if support for impeachment (or "inquiry" as crafty wording is now) temporarily rises. It did during the Mueller investigation, as well, though only nationally.

They poll the news cycle. As facts come out, polls stop running.
2. After the impact of the news cycle has been exhausted and the facts come out, Americans' views on support/oppose return back to pre-hysteria levels.

It was not sustained under the Mueller probe, and this is a much, much weaker case to make to the American people.
3. Today's polls aren't asking about the act of impeachment, number one. They're asking about an inquiry in the midst of a very dishonest news cycle that cannot sustain itself.

Number two, those are nationals. Where it counts, it's not likely to budget all that much, at all.
