You want to know why I'm a Democrat who goes to bat for the President and is happy to sling arrows at his own party?

After the Nov 2016 elections, my party should have accepted the loss (no excuses: Hillary sucked), been a faithful partner in governing, & provided the American people with a new vision and new leadership. (Bye Chuck & Nancy!)

I wrote how we could do it:

Instead, we spent 3 years devolving into a tornado of political disasters. The first was telling ourselves that Trump was a Russian traitor. We had no patience for facts.

In the end, Mueller found no collusion. Obstruction? POTUS tried to stop a false inquiry. I would have too.

Meanwhile, our Russia hysteria kept us from seeing a more alarming fact: the Intel Community (esp Comey, Brennan) had weaponized their powers & media influence to damage a duly elected president simply because they didn't like him.

Time has proven me right.

Per the DoJ, Comey unlawfully leaked “to create public pressure for official action.”

In other words: an FBI Director leaked info to force the appointment of a SC to damage/destroy a duly elected president to suit his personal politics.

That's a coup.

Our hysteria got so bad that we even tried to protect the other corrupt fmr FBI Director, Andrew McCabe, offering him a job on Cap Hill so he could keep his pension!

No, seriously, we did that.

Nevermind that the DoJ fired him for lying to investigators.

And what about policies? What have Dems stood for over the past three years?

Equally, it's been a progressive disaster from start to finish.

Take immigration.

There was/is an emergency at the border. A wall was/is part of the solution. Our response? America is Nazi Germany.

Leading the charge was a new group of "Democrats:" The Squad.

In fact, the DNC called AOC "the future of the party."

The problem? Dem Socialists are frauds out to split the Dem Party in two and revive Socialism in America.

Pelosi defends The Squad as a welcome part of a "big tent" party.

But why would you let in not only socialists into our tent but anti-Semites too?

Congress passed TWO resolutions after each of Ilhan Omar's viciously hateful remarks against Jewish people.

Outrageous!

The Squad and other "progressives" have also pushed the party -- and indeed much of the media -- into fake Social Justice Warrior mode.

Everything is an outrage. And white people are usually to blame.

Bill Maher has it right. We've lost our minds.

So now America faces a choice in 2020.

On one hand, we have a progressive party telling America that its future is The Squad. (Or ignoring IC corruption. Or embracing the silly Green New Deal. Or bankrupting the nation with "Everything For Free For Everybody" policies. Etc.)

Or we can choose a president -- warts and all -- who is taking on China, trying to solve NK without war, tackling the border emergency, and lifting the curtain on a wildly corrupt media and ruling class in DC/NYC, most especially a dangerously politicized intelligence community.

Trump is not perfect. Far from.

Example: The twitter fights with Hollywood stars. Come on now! Truly, I had no idea @BetteMidler was even alive until Trump got in a fight with her.

That stuff is silly. I know he feels assaulted from all sides but that's the price of being POTUS

Bottom line: You can call me a Trump sycophant. That's lazy, and you're wrong. But that's fine. I served my country so that you and others may say so.

But know this: I have seen what my once proud Democratic Party has become. They've lost my vote in 2020.

Country over party.
