I tried to explain this before. Maybe it will make more sense with the events of today fresh in your mind. People talked about the Dems plans for impeachment. How Pelosi planned to railroad the vote through the house. How the committee chairs are not going to allow the GOP
...to question "witnesses". How impeachment was a done deal. How this Ukrainian hoax was crafted perfectly by the deep state. This is it, Trump's done....."muh we are all doomed" so to speak....
And taken in a vacuum they were correct. 100% correct. BUT life doesn't happen in a vacuum. Plans are only as good as the first shot fired. The defense reacts, counters, blunts or falls to the offensive. Narratives fail, are debunked. Counter offensives are launched.
The attackers' flanks are pressed, sometimes overwhelmed. The offensive can break through, stall or be pushed back. If the attack falters you could see it flipped into a rout by the defenders.
Today we saw one such counter offensive. Trump brought the pain to the Dems and the corrupt media, in two press events. Evidence was unearthed that Schiff colluded with the whistleblower. Rudy came out guns ablazing against not just Biden but the Dems actions in Ukraine.
Pelosi tried to backtrack and soften the impeachment push. She was begging the press to talk about anything but Impeachment today. Schiff is disgraced in the eyes of millions.
Will this stop the current push for impeachment? Maybe. The Dems needed a feeding frenzy to occur to push impeachment under it's covering firing. They no longer have that. They are bogged down and taking return fire now. They may still do it, knowing they don't have...
....the needed Political/media reserves. The risk to keeping the 🏠 is very great so they may retreat. They may be so far over extended that retreat is not an option and this will either end in a win or a rout for the Dems. Who knows. The battle yet rages.
And THAT is the point. People were ready to concede defeat before the battle was fought. This is why we must fight these Political battles, to determine the winner. I have no idea what the final outcome will be but with Trump leading us, I like our chances.
