#selfintrospection
Couple of years ago I realised a few things. One of them was

I suffer from decision making fatigue.
This is true in both personal and professional life. But more so in personal life I guess.

In professional life there is a lot of alignment as there is a common goal and everybody is more or less equally involved.
In personal life it is not the same case because very few people will have the same perception that you have.

Also in family there are multiple people at different phases of their life and hence the expectations are also difficult.
Based on these insights I am following this approach these days.

1. Reduce the number of decisions you need to make.

2. Whether the decision is small or huge the anxiety seems to be same. (Though this sounds weird, this happens a lot with me)
3. Most of the decisions won't even have impact.

4. Ask how much impact it will have?

5. If the answer is not much you might as well roll the dice and decide.

6. If it does impact ask "Does it have long term impact?". If the answer is no, again roll the dice.
7. If it does have long term affect "Does it affect me or those close to me?"

8. If the answer is "Those close to me", I let them decide and help them in the process.
9. If the answer is me, I ask myself does speaking to other people and doing research help me make better decision. IF the answer is a resounding yes then I spend time on it.

10. If the answer is no, then I pick one that seems best fit to me and set a timeline
11. The timeline can be say 6months, year or two. Until this set time, I don't try other options. I try to make the picked option work.

12. No decision is good or bad. Just what you do with it once you make the decision.

End of rant :P
