I am strong believer in both Occam's Razor and Hanlon's Razor. The simplest explanation is the most likely and never ascribe to malice what can be explained by stupidity. These rules avoid conspiracist thinking when coincidences happen, BUT

I think both apply. Which is a simpler explanation for Brown being shot multiple times, payback or an unrelated reason? And what is stupider than shooting a witness after the trial is over?

It is also not conspiratorial to distrust the police whom we saw doing everything they could to protect Guyger when Botham Jean was murdered, shutting off camera, not questioning her right away, not arresting her immediatey, etc.
It seems to me there must be an independent investigation because are we going to believe anything ese? #Justice4JoshuaBrown

I do not understand the desire to lock down everyone with the top 3 candidates before one primary election has been held. I do not understand the desire to shut down criticism and vetting. We need to see how our candidates respond to opposition because the general will be harsh
Yes, some of the things people bring up today may be used again by Trump and Putin, but they would use it whether we do or not. The thing is, if the primary winner has been chosen by most Democrats, that means they chose in spite of criticism
When a candidate wins the nomination, that usually means that's already baked in and the critique has been overcome! So let there be some rough and tumble. There is stuff to criticize about all of them.

The prison abolition movement is not seeking to release serial killers and other dangerous murderers to the streets. It could use a better name, but abolition is used to set it apart from those who want prisons to remain focused on punishment but with fewer people. Reducing
incarceration is not enough if prison remain punitive, where prisoners are abused, isolated, and thrown away without access to books, education, and other activities, where sheriffs brag about bad food, no tv, etc.
It's about transforming the prison system from punitive to rehabilitative, to having incarceration as the last, rather than the first, resort. To increase diversion, mental health, and outside-prison support to offenders so they avoid prison.

My family has had plenty of nonagenarians and centenarians. My uncle cleared an acre of birch forest and put in a garden when he was 94. My mother was 90 when she tripped while walking her daily mile. She got a concussion that killed her.
My greataunt eloped in her late 90s. She was 106 when she died. Her last words, "Why are you all whispering. I ain't dead yet." 🤣

My oldest cousin retired from the USPS when I was 7, so I think you should understand that I grew up with geriatrics...and many were very fit.
But here's the thing, one of the things that go as people age is their ability to learn new things, take in new information, what they call fluid intelligence. So people can be as sharp as ever on the old stuff, but not process the new well. This is normal, not senility
