So let's see. Since there are so many examples, let's just pick one: Mehdi Hasan's cheering of the terrorist-loving antisemite @marclamonthill.
Here's Hasan promoting MLH, and MLH getting a big tattoo glorifying Palestinian rock-throwers a few weeks after an Israeli Jew was killed by rock-throwing Palestinian terrorists on Rosh Hashana in September 2015.

This is from a thread in which Zahra Billoo just reaffirmed her hatred for the world's only Jewish state. Note how she emphasizes that she views it as her "religious obligation" to 'speak out' against Israel +
-- whereas it's obviously not her "religious obligation" to speak out against the truly atrocious human rights record of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan where her family comes from, and where she visited last spring, posting a lot about... food.
So here just a few examples of what Zahra Billoo doesn't have time to deal with because she's too busy with her "religious duty" demonizing Israel.

#AntiSemitism emerges strongly when a civilization is in decline. It's like clockwork. This is not new—we've been seeing it for 2,000 years. We each need to ask ourselves how we may have contributed to our own self-destruction, and make the radical choice to love our neighbor.
The reason for this emergence is that when a culture is in decline, from fear, citizens refuse to look at their own contribution, and therefore must externally displace blame. Seeing it in almost every tweet about this evil shooting. Germany didn't get there in a vacuum; nor we.
Every case of Jew-hatred we see, from Charlottesville to Pittsburgh, is a symptom of our crumbling demise. It knows no political party; this hatred is systemic and murderous and we don't fight it with more rage. We fight it with love—getting in each other's lives in radical love.

have you ever known yourself to behave in a way that is generally perceived as neutral or even positive, but in a way that is actually doing you or others harm?
my work makes me think a lot. and i quite often do that thinking on a low boil in the background, as i'm doing something else, most often for me playing a game. a lot of folks do this with solitaire, for instance.

1. Every time I write abt prison gerrymandering, find it amazing it is a thing that exists.

That we are so blasé about a FIVE-FIFTHS compromise.
2. In 44 states, prisoners “live” in their prisons for the purpose of the Census but cannot vote: bodies with no electoral power.
3. Crime is disproportionately concentrated in cities, and those sent to prison are disproportionately POC—and thus disproportionately Dem-leaning.
