The subtle Joker commentary I have yet to see and can’t stop thinking about is how a late night comedy show goes from harmless funny jokes, to bullying social political commentary in an instant. God it’s so good & why media hates it.
Nolan’s joker omitted things Phoenix got right but also Ledger’s joker not having an origin story is what made it brilliant. It’s so hard but I think Phoenix ultimately is the definitive take which 10 years ago is almost unthinkable.
I want to see a Batman in this Todd Phillips Gotham City.. That you need a hero as brutal to deal with Joker’s ghetto uprising. it’s not even close how perfect Gotham City is depicted in this film compared to any other Batman film.
