My take?
Libra has accelerated everything. The default right now is that:
Govt's are racing to catch up, arguing that digital currencies are important, and that not allowing China to run away with it is important, but that the power needs to rest w/ them not private co's.

And when it comes to this "Pegged vs. Basket" thing...it is CLEARLY an issue. The latest out of Libra is that they're considering moving away from the basket and towards pegged.
