Police shot & killed a person in Harlem last night. @NYPost describes a gun battle, but also mentions that it is unclear if the man killed (who they call a “gunman”) fired any shots. 8 cops responded & a wounded cop may have been shot by a fellow officer. nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-c…
@nypost It is exactly one week since an NYPD officer shot and killed Nasheem Prioleau in Brooklyn. This was also described as a "gun battle," but later news stories reported that Mr. Prioleau had not fired a gun.

@nypost It is three weeks since an NYPD officer, Brian Mulkeen, was shot and killed by a fellow officer. The person with whom he was struggling at the time he was killed had also not fired a gun. nytimes.com/2019/09/30/nyr…
@nypost The killing last night represents the 4th time in 8 days the NYPD have opened fire on people.
@nypost I heard the gunfire the night police killed Mr. Prioleau in Brooklyn. It sounded like a gun battle - but that's not a proper characterization of something where the gunfire is only coming from one side and one person isn't fighting back. That's an execution.
@nypost PS. Sorry the first article is from @NYDailyNews not @nypost. Their cover today would make you believe they are the Post, but that's another story.
