Ever since I tweeted about NYPD police shootings on Friday, cop twitter has taken over my timeline. For the most part I have not engaged. It's kinda been escalating tho and I just saw this.

I am so used to trolls. I post about police violence all the time and I have had cop twitter descend on my timeline a before. They usually leave after a few days. But this time, they're sticking around, largely because of @/overheardonduty, a cop with huge following.

Every single time I tweet a simple matter-of-fact statement, dude replies that I am inciting violence or retweets, commenting same.

Like this, where I pointed out that Victor Hernandez who was killed by cops was the son of an NYPD officer.

It's pretty ironic because by repeatedly making that statement he's whipping his followers into a frenzy, which has led to tweets like the first one.

It also doesn't really help any argument about cops being measured and controlled in response to crises.

And he comes back with stuff like this, which is stupid, because the replies under my tweets that dude has a problem with aren't usually my followers' but people attracted to this bullshit tabloid stuff he is bringing to my timeline.

Anyway, I say all of this to say, I told dude this is harassment and getting out of control and he needs to stop.

So apologies all for the break from regularly scheduled programming and back to intelligent discourse.

PS. Dude's comments are so lame and predictable now (like he has one thing to say on repeat) he is kinda like a caricature of himself. Like leave already.

PPS. Oh and dude did NOT report the tweet threatening to stab me right away as he claims above. He actually wrote back saying, don't threaten her, she'll sue you and bring criminal charges (he deleted tweet) and then tweeted this (which he forgot to delete). Paragon of honesty.
