Thank you for joining us. Today’s #PwCTaxChat will discuss ‘Guidelines on Migrants e-Registration in Nigeria’. 
To encourage international cooperation in addressing global migration and security challenges, the Nigeria Immigration Service (“NIS”) has introduced e-registration for foreigners in Nigeria and released guidelines on the process. #PwCTaxChat
The Migrant e-Registration Guidelines (referred to as “The Guidelines”) is a simple guide derived from the Immigration Act 2015 and Immigration Regulation 2017. It focuses on the process through which an immigrant can be registered with the NIS. #PwCTaxChat
Migrants can walk into any designated Migrant Registration office, available in the migrant’s state of residence. The migrant is obliged to provide the required documents (for sighting purposes while copies will be submitted) for enrolment. #PwCTaxChat
The Registration officer captures the migrant’s biometric and enrolls the migrant using the information provided. The migrant doublechecks the enrolled data and if satisfied, the Registration officer vets the submitted documents. #PwCTaxChat
After completing the registration, the migrant is issued an acknowledgement slip showing registration details. #PwCTaxChat
