MR. KUSHNER: Thank you very much. I want to welcome everybody. And thank you for joining us today to celebrate the High Holidays. And it’s my honor to introduce in a few minutes the President.
It is my great honor to introduce the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
The Jewish practice of reflection, atonement, and remembrance during this holy period not only strengthens Jewish communities, but inspires all Americans.
THE PRESIDENT: I can. Yes.
***All it took was someone following through with our promise.***
And so I want to thank the President publicly, as I’ve done before, for this incredibly important and courageous decision.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Alan. I think the answer to that is a very strong yes — you should be.
And I said, “You know what? Thank you very much.” And then it got to a point where about three or four days out, Alan, I wouldn’t take phone calls.
***Go & read that again. Trump saw the block in negotiations & just removed it. Implimenting US policy possibly solved it***
***IS THIS IN THE NEWS?!***
***We are seeing steps taken to solve the issue!
So we’re doing that. And I really do believe we’re going to make a deal, Alan. I hope so. It would be a great thing to do.
Q Thank you so much, Mr. President. We all (inaudible).
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you. Thank you, Alan.
Q We all are there to help you if we can do anything. Thank you.
Norm, are you there?
THE PRESIDENT: I agree with that.
@HeshmatAlavi @ScheyChris @ThomasWictor
Iran was something that I was against the deal from the first day I heard about it. I thought it was a horror show. It should never have happened. It was Obama — President Obama.
***The level of detail in this response, he knows it all***
*** @HeshmatAlavi @ThomasWictor, confirmation it could have been done but the Iranian PEOPLE were let down***
But it’s had a huge impact, Norm, on the country. And they are now really looking to survive and to — I can’t use the word “prosper” because that’s not the right word — but they are certainly looking to survive.
Thank you, Norm.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Norm, very much. Thank you.
