Joint statement from Mueller & Barr:

“The Attorney General has previously stated that the Special Counsel repeatedly affirmed that he was not saying that, but for the OLC opinion, he would have found the President obstructed justice.”
“The Special Counsel’s report and his statement today made clear that the office concluded it would not reach a determination—one way or the other—about whether the President committed a crime. There is no conflict between these statements.”
Barr previously said that Mueller had told him his conclusions on obstruction would be same with or without the OLC opinion.

Awaiting full confirmation but this should have been expected.

If true, it should also make some folks very nervous.

Recall, it was Durham who was investigating Baker for illegal leaking PRIOR to Durham's appointment by Barr to investigate the origins of the Trump investigation

1) On December 1, 2017, Judge Rudy Contreras presided over Flynn’s guilty plea.
2) Here’s what happened next:

December 2 2017 – Washington Post and New York Times reveal existence of incriminating messages from Peter Strzok revealing anti-Trump biases.

December 2 2017 – The Inspector General issues statement in response to inquiries.
3) December 4 2017 – CNN reveals Strzok changed wording of Clinton investigation to avoid criminal charges.

December 6 2017 – DOJ executive Bruce Ohr demoted after revelations he secretly met with Fusion GPS, which had secretly employed his wife Nellie.

IG Horowitz: "I do not now anticipate a need to to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report."
Interesting that Horowitz seems to have confidence to indicate release of one single report.

A couple options:

1) Barr may have already authorized certain declassifications.

2) IG Report might not be overly detailed.

Caveat: Reports indicate IG Report will be lengthy...

1/ After Rep. Nadler (D-NY) summarized the report in a few sentences, Rep. Collins (R-GA) deliberately and repeatedly mischaracterized its findings and concluded by saying falsely, "These are the facts of the report." They weren't—and he knew they weren't. A bad sign for the GOP.
2/ Mueller begins by saying he decided early on that he had to move expeditiously as well as fairly. He is already beginning his defense of closing up his office (in the view of many) "early" given still-open cases and subpoenas for testimony and documents that remain unanswered.

Kamala Harris says that if she becomes president, her DOJ will pursue obstruction of justice charges against President Trump.

Waiting for all the reporters to call her a danger to democracy for threatening to use the DOJ against her political opponents.

Many false dawns before but could it finally drop tomorrow?

Ex-CIA director thinks so. He said on TV that last indictments + report may well be lodged on Friday.
Grand jury indictments tend to come on Fridays. Long speculated that Mueller is close to putting in report.

And as Brennan predicts, Mueller may want to avoid the Friday after next, which is the 15th - the Ides of March.
The ‘Mueller report’ is actually really two seperate reports.

The first - Mueller needs to explain his decisions to the Attorney General.

This is confidential. Likely to be short. May never be made public. (See relevant bit of rules below.)
