The sheer amount of sexism in my replies today is maddening. Yes, boys, I’ve thought of every single thing you’ve said and rejected all of your opinions years ago on the basis of my education, expertise, & experience.
Many of the books you suggested I read were written by friends, and I read them before they were published.
The construct “Have you ever considered...” directed at a professional woman is sexism. That’s called mansplaining. It is in the dictionary. You can look it up.
There are always things I’m happy to learn. My IRL friends will testify to this. But I’m not taking guff from trad guys with frog icons or anonymous “pastors” on Twitter.
If you want to engage me in serious intellectual discussions, I suggest you begin by reading the ten books I’ve written. Or, perhaps, the 10 year body of columns I wrote for The NY Times Syndicate.
Sand, I’m not a conservative Catholic or a Southern Baptist or an evangelical. I’m a liberal Episcopalian w/a lifetime of church, prayer, preaching and teaching. Get over it. There are amazing well-educated Christian women writing theology & leading seminaries & denominations.
