Another great #FakeNews manipulation/falsehood, this time with respect to #impeachment, is that @realDonaldTrump was coercing the Ukrainian president to "investigate his political opponents" in an attempt to solicit "meddling" from a foreign power in the #2020Election.

@RudyGiuliani's investigation into Ukraine (which subsequently led to Burisma and Joe Biden) began long before Biden announced his candidacy on April 25, 2019. Prior to this date Biden cannot reasonably be considered 'protected' from any Ukraine probe due to his candidate status.

@RudyGiuliani began looking into Ukraine as early as Jan 2019 when he interviewed both former general prosecutor Viktor Shokin, and two days later his successor Yuriy Lutsenko. Notes from the interviews were published in Ukrainian newspapers (translated): tinyurl.com/y44v6np8

Among the topics discussed in @RudyGiuliani's Jan 2019 meetings were Biden and Burisma. Shokin is considered a 'disgraced' figure by beltway experts, who dismiss his testimony. Lutsenko called Shokin an "honest man" but stressed Biden didn’t seemingly break any Ukrainian law.

Whether the allegations against Biden are true is irrelevant to the timeline. The basis for Rudy's efforts, as quoted in the NYT, were reports that Ukrainian officials interfered in the 2016 election by aiding Clinton's campaign. See @politico, 2017: tinyurl.com/yxtbnnyz

These actions were not trivial and contributed to the firing of Paul Manafort by Trump's campaign.

You'd think the #FakeNews media would be equally invested in the Ukraine story as they were in the (now discredited) allegations concerning Russia and @realDonaldTrump.

Both stories involve colluding with foreign powers in American elections. Both raise questions about election integrity. Instead, the media are attempting to character assassinate @RudyGiuliani and bury the story all-together, or minimize his efforts as "revenge politics."

As an aside, the press frames the Biden issue as 'a politician’s kid abusing their last name to gain employment for which they’re unqualified' (and point to Trump’s kids to undermine the talking point).

But the real allegation against Hunter is suppressed by our #FakeNews media.

The actual concern is that Hunter was acting as a 'bag man' for Joe Biden. In other words, Joe was laundering bribes from Ukraine, in exchange for favorable access to the White House, by having his son collect the payments. Hunter had no relevant experience, no qualifications.

This contextualizes the public view of Trump's vs. Biden's actions.

The media’s twisted Ukraine coverage is not in alignment with the public will... but it is in alignment with the Democratic party.
