I begin with Name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Thread: Loving Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the true sense
Islam as a Divine religion revolves around the concept of Tauheed which entails the Shahadatan (the two testimonies of Faith). Bearing witness and testimony that there is no deity worthy of being worshipped except Allaah Alone and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger
The first aspect of the Shahadah necessitates making our intentions solely for the sake of Allaah, worshipping Him Alone and believing in all of His Attributes and actions...
Which equally means all acts of worship MUST be directed to Him Alone.
While the second aspect of the Shahadah (Bearing witness and affirming that verily Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His slave and Messenger necessitates the following
This aspect of bearing testimony on the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) also coincidently is the third fundamental from the fundamental of the Deen (Religion). An unavoidable question in the grave.
Under it there are many issues of Aqeedah, hence it is pertinent that we get it right——the concept of affirming and believing in the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him). Some have gone extreme in it while some are guilty of laxity hence two faulty groups.
The ahli Sunnah are always in the middle path- the balanced path- neither laxity nor extremism of indulgence.
None will enter Islam without affirming his belief in the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) but is it just a mere infatuation and verbal articulation without conditions and requirements?
This belief in the Messengership of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the foundation upon which the manhaj (methodology, way of life) and the deeds of man is built upon. On it is attached the success and happiness that everyone seeks for.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:
لا تصح المتابعة الا بهذه الشهادة العظيمة، والله تعالى لا يقبل من عبد عملا ما لم يكن خالصا له جل وعلا، وعلى سنة رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Follower-ship and consistency cannot be achieved except with this second aspect of the testimony of Faith -the belief in the Prophethoodpf Muhammad (S).

Allaah does not accept (does not reward) in deed from a servant if there’s no Ikhlas and not consistent with the Sunnah
A person’s articulation of (I bear witness that Muhbamd is the Meessenger of Allaah) necessitates three great things whoever does not fulfil them has not believed in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
These three things are as follows

تصديق خبره
امتثال أمره
محبته صلى الله عليه وسلم
One must believe in all that the Prophet (peace be upon him) has related (of past and future events)

One must act upon all his commandments and instructions

One must LOVE him

These three perfects and completes our belief in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a Messenger
For the sake of this thread, we will in shaa Allaah discuss the second and third aspect.
طاعة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم: تتحقق بامتثال ما امر به حسب الاستطاعة، واجتناب ما نهى عنه

Obedience to the Prophet (peace be upon him) is perfected through adhering to that which he has commanded according to one’s ability and to abandon what he has prohibited.
طاعة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم فرض واجب

Obedience to the Prophet (peace be upon him) is obligatory and compulsory
For the sake of space.....Quran 4:80, Quran 49:7, Quran 64:12 and many more are valid evidences for the position adopted by all scholars regarding the obligation to obey the Prophet (peace be upon him)
If truly we love the Prophet (peace be upon him) then we will be at the forefront of obeying him in whatever he has commanded. How then can we claim to live the Prophet I’m doing what he has not commanded?
Allaah has made obedience to the Prophet (SAW) a condition for the legitimacy of a person’s love for Him. He says: “Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): “If you (really) love Allaah then follow me (accept Islam and follow the Qur’an and Sunnah), Allaah will love you..”Q3:31
محبة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم فرض واجب، لا يصح الإيمان الا به

Loving the Prophet (peace be upon him) is obligatory and compulsory .
Iman (Faith) is not perfected by it (loving the Prophet SAW)
A person’s love for the Prophet (peace be upon him) increases when his Iman (Faith) increases because they are strongly connected. A person’s Iman can only increase if he acquires the correct knowledge of Quran and Sunnah and acts based on that.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) has been raised to a high status by Allaah. He is the best of mankind. He said: “I am the leader of Mankind of the Day of Resurrection, the first the first whose grave will be opened, the first to intercede...” Muslim (2278)
He who wants to love the Prophet (peace be upon him) must follow the example set by the Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them) who loved him more than themselves and more than anyone could ever love him.
Abu Talha (RA) on the day of Uhud would say: “O Prophet of Allaah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, do not raise your head lest you be struck by an arrow shot by the enemy. My neck is before your neck.” Bukhari (3600) Muslim (1811)
There is no way a person’s love for the Prophet (SAW) can be perfected or even be legitimate if he does not follow his Sunnah in word and deed. Look at the past few days, those that claim to love the Prophet are the ones insulting others because they were told Maulud is bid’ah
When I checked all those using vituperative comments and hurling vulgarity at others the past few days, I found them to be those defending Maulud. Do they believe that insult instead of knowledge based argument is the way of the Prophet?
We claim to love the Prophet (peace be upon him) but are vehement and abusive towards others when the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Insulting a Muslim is an evil action and fighting him is kufr (disbelief/denial).” [al-Bukhari, Muslim].
We claim to love the Prophet (peace be upon him) yet we frown at his beard, yet we frown at raised lower garment (for men), yet we promote bid’ah for which we have no knowledge.
Of those insulting others (in defence of Maulud) you see them having Qaza “al-Qaza’ (lit. tufts), which is where part of the head is shaved and part is left.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) forbade al-qaza’.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5466; Muslim, 3959.
How do we claim to love the Prophet (S) when our deeds&appearance are contradicting what he commanded. Then we use Maulud as a yardstick for loving the Prophet (SAW)? If celebrating his birthday was something to reckon with, AbuBakr (RA) would have been at the forefront.
Whoever has no valid evidence to backup his claims, resorts to insults and vulgarity and uncultured behavior. The People of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) used that as their last weapon when they could not validate their Shirk. The people of Nuh, the people of Lut, the Quraysh.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) has never established the legitimacy of any act through insults and emotions. Knowledge and clear understanding is the way of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Whenever you see anyone being vulgar and uncultured, the truth is not on his side.
Bothers and sisters, Maulud is not loving the Prophet (S) it’s actually doing what he has prohibited and that’s innovation in the religion. No evidence to back it up from Sunnah nor from the deeds of the Salaf (pious predecessors) the likes of AbuBakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali (RA).
The weapon the people of Bid’ah is that of emotional blakcmail and flowery speech without substance. They get evil scholars on their side to promote bid’ah. You hear them saying “Makiyin Annabi -Enemy of the Prophet” simply bcs you relate to them what the Prophet warned against
Between those that attribute falsehood to the Prophet, those whom even if you were to put a price tag will never be able to prove Maulud beyond reasonable doubt to claim d prize&those who stick to what has been established from the Prophet who are the true lovers of the Prophet?
We love the Prophet (S) and we say what he has been commanded to say: “Say (O Muhammad SAW): “This is my way; I invite unto Allaah with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me.” Qur’an 12:108

If truly you love the Prophet (S) then always act based on sure knowledge.
